Volunteer Programs

There are a number of volunteer programs focused on wildlife conservation, health care, the environment and teaching. On some programs the volunteers cover the costs of training, accommodation and meals. Makalani Travel Agency can assist with arranging of extra activities: transfers, excursions, tours etc.

The Cheetah Conservation Fund offers volunteers to take part in the program as working guests, interns and zoo-keepers.

Volunteers in Harnas participate in daily activities such as food preparation, feeding, caretaking, fence patrol, research on rehabilitating animals and animal walk.

N/a’an ku se offers four different volunteer programs, ranging from health care and teaching to conservation. One of the programs is to provide primary health care for the San/Bushman community or assist the teacher at the Clever Cubs School, which provides education to the San/Bushman children.

People and Wildlife Solutions offers a conservation working holiday program to restore the land back into a game reserve. This is part of Okonjima and AfriCat’s vision. Volunteer duties include constructing fences for cheetahs and cleaning the water troughs of the wild dogs.
